What is your Kitchen Style?

Think..... MATT BLACK. Sophistication, sleek, clean lines balanced out with a teak textured woodgrain from the new Laminex Impressions range in Riven finish to add warmth. Black is back! In fact PPG paints has shocked colour enthusiasts naming what is "technically" a lack of colour, as their 2018 colour of the year: Black Flame. So if keeping up with current trends is your preference, you cannot go past black cabinets, tapware or even walls paired with a textured wood of your choice.

French Provincial

As one of the most popular styles in the world French Provincial can certainly hold it's own. I personally love this style kitchen and saying that I must mention it has a price tag to match its beauty. White is FP's signature style which is also timeless, elegant and incorporates lots of carved wood. For a more casual look add distressed timber, ceiling beams and a rustic fireplace. A timber bench top can really "set off" this type of kitchen and add a touch of country.

When I think of a classic kitchen I have to say the first thing that comes to mind is; Antique White. Although any neutral colour would be under the "classic kitchen" umbrella in my humble opinion. Marble bench tops have been named as classic by Houzz and I would have to agree. Although marble has been trending for a while now I think it's a safe bet to assume the majority of people are partial to a bit of stone in their home. Classic would be the type of Kitchen I would install in a rental property or a house I was going to sell. Nothing fancy and keeping it very simple.

What I would call a Country Kitchen is now often called a: Modern Farmhouse Kitchen. This style has been around for a while now and embodies a modern twist on traditional country. Lots of natural, raw materials matched with cosy furnishings. A must have in a modern farmhouse kitchen would have to be a big solid, chunky timber table or island bench, depending on the space and design. A barn door or industrial pendant lights can really compliment this style kitchen. I would suggest artwork with beautiful landscapes or to personalise it a beautiful still photograph enlarged of a scenery from your local area.
